Yokohama City Port Opening Memorial Hall
1-6 Hon-chō, Naka-ku, Yokohama 231-0005, Japan

Built in 1917 and known locally as “Jack’s Tower,” this red-brick landmark sits in the historic Kannai district. The main assembly hall seats 180 delegates; adjacent heritage rooms will host posters and tabletop exhibits. Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided throughout the building.

Getting to Yokohama

From Haneda Airport (HND)
 • Keikyū Line or Airport Limousine Bus → Yokohama Station (≈ 30 min)
 • Subway Minatomirai Line from Yokohama to Nihon-ōdōri Station, Exit 1 (5 min walk to the venue)

From Narita Airport (NRT)
 • JR Narita Express direct to Yokohama Station (≈ 90 min)
 • Transfer to Minatomirai Line as above

Accommodation

For easy access we recommend booking in the Kannai or Minatomirai waterfront area (10 – 15 minutes on foot or one subway stop from the hall).  

  • Hotel Monterey Yokohama – waterfront, 8 min walk.

  • APA Hotel Yokohama Bay – budget, 10 min walk.

  • InterContinental Yokohama Grand – harbour view, 10 min by subway.

If you require a short-term business visa, please begin the application no later than six weeks before travel.


Upon request, we will issue a signed PDF Invitation Letter. 

Processing time
Documents are normally emailed within five business days after we receive all information below.

Submit the following form with:​​

  • Your institutional affiliation and postal address

  • Any embassy forms that must be countersigned

Please note that the organizing committee cannot intervene with embassies or guarantee visa approval. All attendees are responsible for their own applications, travel insurance, and compliance with Japanese entry regulations.
